I HAD to share this one. I'm on a new medication and I called Stop and Shop to have it filled. They told me the price (before my insurance) was about $500. I have to pay 20% of the prescription, so $100, which I thought was expensive so I decided to call around. After calling about 5 pharmacies in the area I decided to check Costco and Costco's price is $74 for the same medication, of which I had to pay $14 or so. I was absolutely amazed at the differences in price between Costco and other pharmacies. While insurance may cover the majority of the price - we're the ones paying for the insurance - so I've found it REALLY pays to shop around - and Costco seems to have the best prices yet!
